Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids (CTFK)

Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids (CTFK), the Global Smoke-free Partnership, and the Framework Convention Alliance for Tobacco Control sought approval of a global commitment to developing laws regarding second-hand smoke.

Strategy XXI worked on a communications program timed to coincide with a key World Health Organization vote on the issue. We undertook a worldwide, multi-lingual media relations campaign that achieved over 100 placements in leading international media.

The vote was passed unanimously by countries attending the WHO sessions. They endorsed a strong, global health standard that urged their governments to adopt laws requiring 100 percent smoke-free work and public places.
